Message gashed/cracked by the previous owner on a curb stop.

One of 1st things I did on the car over 7 yrs ago and all is still good. Key is to reinforce the damaged area from behind - I used a few small pieces of aluminum bar stock and glued into place. Then in a few key spots placed some pop rivets - they were underneath facing down to the road - so out of site.

Used 3M 2 part flexible epoxy (maybe the same stuff you bought?) to fill in the gaps, sanded/shaped and repeated with the epoxy (2 or 3 times) until things looked good. Really not hard to do -- after that take to a local shop for prep and painting. Repairing the damage yourself saves some $$$$ - shop would be needed to get the paint matching right. As others have posted a good shop can repaint so it comes out right and doesn't spider vein later, very normal type of painting repair using paint with flex additive. Would guess the repaint to run $400 - $500 or so...

Run a search on Youtube or Googles - lots of repair how-to's and instructions for this type of bumper cover repair...
